What bot to use?! I bet some of you may have this question if you are looking to get into botting D2. There are the two main or big ones - Etal D2NT and Kolbot.

When I first started botting with decent, but not great, computer knowledge back when I was in high school, I chose Etal. It seemed to have more people using it at the time, but I was super low level with it. I ran one baal bot and got a 98 (I've never gotten a 99 :(.). That was awesome and a great first experience with botting. It was very easy to configure and as I said, it was fairly popular at the time so many people were making Youtube video tutorials and web tutorials for me to follow. This was back around 1.09 patch so things were really easy to set up. I loved Etal D2nt and used it for years. The ease of configuration and in game controls made it a really positive experience.
I recently started getting more CD keys because I wanted to run more bots. So with Etal you can run however many keys per character and have it swap keys every x amount of games. This is really good and works for a 2:1 ratio, meaning if you have 2 keys you can safely run 1 character in 3 minute games continuously without getting tamp banned often. And then you can keep going, so 4 keys is good for 2 characters and so on. Up until about a month ago, I was doing this and had 4 characters in my chaos games and it was a really solid run. A guild buddy of mine came in game and said that my runs were good but not to their potential, I asked what he meant. He said if I ran Kolbot I would save around 10 seconds per run. I was kinda like 'yeah sure man', not really believing it. But it made me curious, so I downloaded Kolbot and decided I would try it without touching my Etal so if Kol didn't work out I could just go back to Etal. Kol was a little more intricate to set up, but I was able to do so after about a half hour.
He was right though, my runs became about 10 seconds shorter, which means a lot over 1k runs. There is no lag with TPs or changing areas. It all adds up.
I also learned about the CD key changer that Kol uses, it works differently than Etal. With Kol you just put your keys in a 'pool' and Kolbot picks a CD key it hasn't used in a bit. So no game loader is bound to only 2 keys, it is bound to your whole list. What does this mean? It means you can run more like a 1.5:1 ratio for characters:keys. So 9 keys can handle 6 bots. I run 7 though without much issue.
Ahh the last thing. Apparently this has been out for a long time but I never knew how to do it, the bumperless GRush. Kolbot let's you packet click the Worldstone entry from the Arreat Summit so you can get in with a level 1 character! Then you just need to walk said character all the way to throne and eventually chamber. Kind of a pain in the ass, but much better than leveling a character to 40 or paying for a bumper.
TL;DR
Etal is good for simple MF and a few bots.
Kol is good for team botting, less lag, cd key changer and packet clicking.

In light of the news StarCraft is getting remastered, it seems a sizeable chunk of Diablo 2 fans now hope their action role-player of choice goes the same way as Blizzard's military sci-fi 'em up. Nothing is confirmed as yet, but series mastermind David Brevik reckons it's not necessarily as straightforward as people may think.
Speaking on the Diabloii.net podcast, Brevik says he was inundated with queries about a Diablo 2 remake in the wake of the StarCraft remaster announcement. 'They have their work cut out for them,' he says around the 26.10 mark below. 'I don’t believe a lot of the assets survived. I think that remasters are okay, they're fine, but you have to be really careful with remasters and there’s this delicate balance. For instance, the world of Diablo 2 is broken up into tiles.'
Brevik then goes on to compare the similarities between Diablo 2 and its forerunner and how development practices and standards have changed since the second venture into Hell was launched at the turn of the century.
Brevik continues: 'If you do a remaster, this is going to sound terrible, I am going to sound like an old fogey here, but kids these days don’t understand how games were made back then. They were nothing like they’re made today. Everybody would just make 3D artwork and put it on a 3D grid which works except for it doesn’t work. Because the moment that you change the fundamental way that you interact with the game and you move around the world, you’re changing the game.
'On a fundamental level that can not be really comprehended unless you're a programmer that has done this kind of thing before… if they do a Diablo 2 Remaster, it’s going to be difficult to make it feel exactly like the same game”, added Brevik. “They could do it but they will have to go out of their way to ensure that they are simulating the way that the game works in 2D instead of making it 3D, if that makes sense'.

Diablo II is a RPG video game designed and distributed by Blizzard Entertainment for the PC. In the game, you create a player who travels through various towns and dungeons to combat the forces of evil. There are glitches in the game that allow you to create duplicates ('dupes') of items in both single-player and multi-player modes. Half-life 2 walkthrough.
Duping in Single-Player Mode
Use a town portal item when outside of a town. This will create a portal to the town of your choice.
![]()
Move the item of your choice from your inventory and drop it on the ground, next to the portal.
Click the mouse button on your item. Hold the item with your mouse button and use the keyboard to move your character through the portal.
Check your inventory when you make it to the town. You should find that the item you were holding with the mouse button is in your inventory.
Re-enter the portal to return to your original location, and you will find an identical item next to the portal.
Duping in Multi-Player Mode
Fill up your belt with healing and mana potions while playing, and drop any item from your inventory on the ground.
Walk a short distance away from the item, then click on it with your mouse to begin walking back towards the item.
Once you are about to pick up the item, click on one of the potions in your belt.
Drop the potion you just clicked on. When it hits the ground, it should turn into the item you just picked up. If it does not work, repeat the process until you perfect the timing.
Warnings
Ultraiso 9 usb create boot partitions. When duping in multi-player mode, do not leave two of the same item on the ground, as the game will remove one of the items.
